Wed January 11 -Power Tool Blitz for Women: Drills, Saws and Sanders
In this class, you’ll become familiar with power tools (drills, saws and sanders). Through lecture, demonstration and hands-on practice, you’ll gain confidence in choosing the right tool for the job and handling it safely. Class time: 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The cost is $40
Wed January 18 – How to Catch a Running Toilet: Fundamentals of Plumbing Repair: In this class, you will become familiar with various plumbing problems you might face in your own home. Through hands-on practice you will learn about the various types of faucets available by taking them apart and putting them back together. You will also learn how to replace a faucet. You will learn how to diagnose and repair a running toilet, how to approach clogged drains, and how to put together pipes made of various materials. Class time: 6:30pm to 8:30pm The cost is $40
Wed January 25 -Don’t Be Shocked: A Beginner’s Look at Electrical Repairs: In this class you will learn about the electricity you encounter in your home. Through hands on practice you will learn how to replace an outlet, a wall switch, a light fixture, and how to install a ceiling fan. Class time: 6:30pm to 8:30pm The cost is $40
Wed February 1 -If Walls Could Talk: Everything You Wanted to Know About Walls, But Were Afraid to Ask: In this class you will hang some drywall and finish it. You will learn what walls are made of and how to patch them. You will learn about how to hang anything on any kind of wall. Class time: 6:30pm to 8:30pm The cost is $40
Wed February 8 – Getting Floored Part 1: How to Install Ceramic Tile Floors or Walls: In this class you will learn how to prepare a surface for installing ceramic tiles, plan your layout, choose your materials, mix thinset, cut tiles and grout. Class time: 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The cost is $40
Beginning Friday February 3 -Thinking About the Box: The Fundamental Building Block: In this four session class you will get acquainted with using the table saw, band saw, drill press, router and power miter box. You will end up making two boxes, a small box with a lid and a box utilizing other types of joinery.
Class time is 6:30pm to 9:00pm. The cost is $107 including materials
Wed February 15 – Looking Through Walls: How to Deal With the Ups and Downs of Windows: In this class we will explore the world of windows starting with the old wood windows that came with your house. You will learn how to replace the broken ropes with sash chain and how to replace a pane of glass. Class time is 6:30pm to 8:30pm. The cost is $40
Wed February 22 – The Ins and Outs of Doors : In this class you will learn how to get the doors you have to work better, how to install a new lock from scratch, and how to hang an old door in an existing opening. Class Time is 6:30pm to 8:30pm The cost is $40
